Delete your account
Last updated: April 19, 2026
What gets deleted
When you confirm deletion we remove, within 30 days:
- Your user profile (name, email, phone, profile photo, hashed password).
- Your business settings (business name, logo, address, tax ID, bank details).
- Every invoice, quote, customer, vendor, product, expense, payment, time entry, credit note, bill, and purchase order attached to your workspace.
- Every receipt photo and attachment you uploaded.
- Your push notification tokens, biometric preferences, and session history.
- Your audit trail and activity log entries.
What we keep (and why)
- Anonymised transaction records that the Nigerian Federal Inland Revenue Service and Canadian Revenue Agency require us to retain for up to 6 years. These records contain amounts and dates only — no personal identifiers.
- Records involved in active legal proceedings, if any, until those proceedings conclude.
Everything else is permanently and irreversibly deleted. We cannot restore a deleted account — if you have data you want to keep, export it first (Settings → Export).
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
Open the bill.i.ng app, then tap:
More → Settings → Delete account
You'll be asked to confirm with your password. The deletion is queued immediately.
Option 2 — Delete from the web
Sign in at https://app.bill.i.ng and visit Settings → Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm with your password.
Option 3 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access your account (for example you've lost your password and are unable to reset it), email [email protected] from the email address on your account. Include:
- Your account email address.
- Your business subdomain, if you know it (for example
acme.bill.i.ng). - The sentence “I want to delete my bill.i.ng account and all associated data.”
We verify identity via the account email address and confirm back within 7 days. If we cannot verify you are the account holder we will not proceed — this is to protect you from impersonation attempts.
